During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned Jimmy Jacobs’ new gig with AEW. It was mentioned that he just wrapped up a very long tenure with Impact Wrestling’s creative team.

Meltzer then stated that Jimmy Jacobs was responsible for a lot of Impact Wrestling’s supernatural storylines. He then voiced uncertainty about whether Jimmy Jacobs’ supernatural ideas would translate with AEW fans.

It was also noted that Jimmy Jacobs was Chris Jericho’s personal writer whenhe was with WWE. Jacobs came up with a lot of the lines and angles during Chris Jericho’s run with The List of Jericho.

It is interesting to note that Chris Jericho said during an older episode of AEW Dynamite that the whole List of Jericho was the result of bad creative. Now, AEW has brought in the man who was behind a lot of those angles in WWE.

We will have to see how things pan out for Jimmy Jacobs in AEW. Obviously, Tony Khan has a lot on his plate, so hopefully Jacobs will help AEW connect with fans in a new way.
