Thunder Rosa is considered one of the best female in-ring competitors in the world right now. However, she is facing a debilitating back injury and still remains out of action even now. While Rosa is still unable to compete, it appears that she remains uncertain about making an in-ring return.
Thunder Rosa’s back injury left her no choice but to withdraw from AEW All Out last year. Despite her absence, she maintained her status as the AEW Women’s Champion but eventually had to forfeit the title – with Jamie Hayter being recognized as the only AEW Women’s Champion at the time.
The former AEW Women’s Champion has been working hard rehabbing her injuries and clearly, she is feeling much better now. While Rosa is certainly feeling better, fans are concerned that she might not be ready for an in-ring return anytime soon.
While speaking with NBC Chicago, Thunder Rosa was asked about her recovery progress. Rosa stated that while she feels no pain anymore, she is still uncertain about returning to the ring.
“It’s going pretty well (recovery from injury). Things are going as they are supposed to go. I am super happy that I’ve been pain-free. That was the most important part. I think it took forever.
I think everybody’s expecting me to give them news. But, I am working out everyday, trying to get back in the ring as soon as possible and if it’s possible.”
Thunder Rosa also contemplated ending her life during her in-ring hiatus. Regardless, we can only hope La Mera Mera will be able to return to the squared circle somewhere down the line.
