WWE saw a big changing of the guard this week as Nathan Frazer became the new Heritage Cup holder. This was a big win for the young Superstar, but an injury might also be credited for that switch.

In anticipation of a championship match scheduled for tonight on WWE NXT, there was an unexpected change as the reigning champion was replaced last-minute due to an apparent injury.

As the Heritage Cup match between champion Noam Dar and challenger Nathan Frazer was about to start, Dar made his way to the ring on crutches, stating that he was too injured to compete. Then the unthinkable happened, as he let someone wrestle in his place.

In a surprising turn of events, Noam Dar opted to have his fellow Meta-Four member Oro Mensah step in and defend the cup on his behalf against the agile Frazer. Obviously, things didn’t turn out well for Dar’s decision.

The nature of Noam Dar’s injury remains uncertain, leaving fans wondering if it is a legitimate injury or simply a part of the ongoing storyline. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Nathan Frazer is now the new Heritage Cup holder. Shawn Michales was also there to greet him backstage in a great post-match video.
