IWGP World Heavyweight Open Challenge Booked For Forbidden Door 2

AEW and NJPW’s Forbidden Door 2 event is set to go down on June 25th. This will be a big night for both companies, and one AEW star will get an amazing opportunity.

During AEW Dynamite this week, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Sanada appeared in a video message. Through his quick promo, he issued an open challenge for Forbidden Door 2.

We do not know who will take Sanada up on his challenge. It seems that the challenge is only open for AEW stars. Later on, Jungle Boy accepted that challenge, and Hook will be in his corner.

Kenny Omega is already set to defend the IWGP United States Championship against Will Ospreay. Also, Bryan Danielson will square off against Kazuchika Okada in a dream match.

They also booked Hiroshi Tanahashi vs MJF at Forbidden 2. MJF was not happy about that at all. He even threatened to no-show the event.

We will have to see how Forbidden Door 2 pans out in the weeks to come. Obviously, they have a lot to book for the sold-out show, but they are running out of time.
