Chris Jericho has been part of the pro wrestling business for well over three decades now and has accomplished a lot in his career till now. While he may not be everyone’s favorite anymore, there is no denying how influential he is. That said, it appears Jericho was allegedly arrested after he displayed aggressive behaviour while intoxicated in a Belfast hotel last year.

Le Champion might be one of the most respected pro wrestlers of all time, but that doesn’t mean he does not draw the ire of fans from time to time. This is especially true on social media.

The former AEW World Champion has had numerous issues with hotels all over the world in the past. This is been very apparent due to his outbursts on social media over the past couple of years. Jericho previously called out the Wyndham Hotel after a bad booking experience. Not just that, he even called the Hilton Hotel’s manager who threatened and demeaned him.

While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Experience podcast, Jim Cornette read out a letter sent by a fan, detailing a hotel incident concerning Jericho. The incident allegedly took place in Belfast in July 2022 and resulted in Jericho’s arrest due to aggressive behavior while he was intoxicated.

“A good friend who is a police officer in the PSNI, the Police Service of Northern Ireland, contacted me and showed me bodycam footage of a drunken, aggressive, and flexing man in the corridor of a local hotel in Belfast. The man in question was Chris Jericho. Police were called after reports of loud music, aggression towards hotel staff, and […] general disturbing of the peace coming from the hotel room he was staying in, and my friend was one of the officers to respond.

My friend […] recognized Jericho and attempted to talk him down and calm the situation. Jericho raised his arms and flexed to show his dominance to the officers, and stated, ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ and similar phrases one would expect from an inebriated individual. He was then arrested by the officers. I believe he was released when he sobered up a few hours later, but this tickled me to no end.”

Chris Jericho also blasted a fan who claimed his ego will ruin AEW. Regardless, Chris Jericho will continue to do what he wants to and that’s all that matters to him.

What’s your view on this interesting Chris Jericho story? Do you think AEW has something major planned for him? Let us know in the comments!
