AEW has a lot going on, and MJF is the company’s current World Champion. Adam Cole stepped up to challenge him, and that resulted in quite a promo battle, one with some familiar lines.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed MJF and Adam Cole’s promo on AEW Dynamite. He stated that the Salt of the Earth actually recycled lines that Adam Cole once used on Karrion Kross.
Not the whole promo, but there were lines and certain phrases, and I even remember this, but I don’t remember ever single line from every single promo. But MJF used lines that Adam Cole used on Karion Kross in an NXT promo when they were doing that thing.
It was noted that this is interesting, but it’s nothing new. Lines from promos are recycled all the time, but this instance from MJF was certainly done on purpose.
We will have to see how MJF and Adam Cole turns out. They will battle on AEW Dynamite this week in a championship contender match. If Cole wins the match, then he will get a title shot from MJF.
