CM Punk is undoubtedly one of the most controversial and divisive names in the history of professional wrestling and fans know that all too well now. He will be returning next week on the debut episode of Collision and it appears that Kevin Nash claimed AEW is throwing CM Punk under the bus ahead of his return.
As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was officially announced that CM Punk will be teaming up with FTR and squaring off against Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe in the main event of the debut episode of AEW Collision on June 17th.
This will mark CM Punk’s first AEW appearance since the All Out pay-per-view last year. Despite the announcement, AEW Collision hasn’t managed to sell many tickets apart from the debut episode.
While speaking on a recent episode of the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash discussed the ticket sales struggles. Nash claimed that AEW is throwing CM Punk under the bus ahead of his return.
They’re throwing Phil under the bus like ‘Oh, he can’t draw.’ It’s not like he’s costing you ticket sales.
Reports have also stated that AEW has taken measures to prevent talents from walking out because of Punk’s return. Regardless, we will have to see how CM Punk will fare in his return match.
