RVD is definitely one of the most technically-gifted pro wrestlers to have ever competed in the pro wrestling world. The icon has competed in several promotions such as ECW, WCW, WWE, and IMPACT Wrestling during his career which has lasted over thirty years. That said, it appears that RVD has shut down rumors of any heat with Chris Jericho.
Mr. Monday Night became a fan of the pro wrestling world in the 80s and realized he wanted to do it all his life. In fact, RVD was also instructed during the early days of his career to say that he was actually related to Jean-Claude Van Damme.
RVD was insanely over in WWE back in 2001, but he was not even put into a main event-level feud until many years later, back in 2006. RVD competed in the inaugural Elimination Chamber match at Survivor Series 2002 as well.
While speaking on the K100 podcast, Rob Van Dam revealed that there was no heat with Chris Jericho at all and that rumors of any sort of heat were simply unfounded.
“I don’t think there was any real heat. I’ve shared some of my personal feelings when we were working together. Sometimes [there was] struggle. At that time of me, trying to get used to the politics. Having him be a factor where, he was already there and kind of represented the opposing side on that. But there wasn’t any time that I can remember where we were going to fight.”
RVD is clearly in excellent shape and is ready to make his in-ring return whenever he feels like it. RVD also had an interesting response to having one final pro wrestling run. We’ll have to wait and see when RVD will finally return to the squared circle.
