WWE is in the middle of television talks to find homes for RAW and SmackDown. They may leave NBC Universal and FOX if they can’t come to an agreement, and that could bring an aesthetic change for the shows as well.
Ringside News asked around about the idea of WWE building new television sets. We were told that, “with the merger, and tv rights deals, everything like that is under review.”
The last we heard, NBC Universal’s exclusive negotiation window has expired. That being said, FOX’s window was still open according to the latest update from Nick Khan.
WWE fans may have to tune into different networks to watch RAW and SmackDown when their new deals start. For all we know, fans might have to subscribe to a new streaming platform as well. It seems that WWE is open to business for all possibilities.
We will have to see what WWE does to switch things up. Obviously, new television deals can bring a lot of money, and WWE could use those funds to update their look a bit.
This is an exciting time for WWE, because you never know what kind of deal they will land. If anything, we know that RAW and Smackdown will certainly find a new home.
