WWE RAW Results Coverage, Reactions & Highlights For June 5, 2023

It’s Monday night, and you know what that means! WWE RAW will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

WWE RAW will start this week at 8:00 PM EST, as always. match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below.

Things are starting to pick up as we get closer to WWE Money in the Bank. Tonight we will get to witness a few more qualifying matches for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Seth Rollins will also defend his World Heavyweight Championship for the first time. The updated match card is as follows:

• The Miz TV with Cody Rhodes
• Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Beck Lynch vs. Sonya Deville
• Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Natalya vs. Zoey Stark
• World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Damian Priest

WWE RAW Opener:

The opening package for the show airs.

Seth Rollins’ music plays and he comes down to the ring. He gets on the mic and says one week as World Heavyweight Champion has been a nonstop party. He says he was thinking about when was the last time there was a World Heavyweight Championship on RAW. He says it has been two years which has been two long. Hence, he put out an open challenge for a World Heavyweight Championship match.

Rollins says that the open challenge was answered by Damian Priest. He says he is kind of psyched about it because he wanted to fight the best and Judgment Day is the best.

The Judgment Day’s music plays and Damian Priest comes out with Finn Balor. Rollins asks why they are coming out and asks where are the rest of Judgment Day. Priest asks him to take it easy. He says Rollins should worry about him. Rollins says he is out here with Finn and asks if they do everything together and makes fun of them.

Balor stops him to say that Priest is going to beat him tonight. Priest says he thinks Seth is a deserving champion and he has beaten everyone. Priest says he will take this opportunity and he will not fall. He says he doesn’t need Finn, Dominik, and Rhea Ripley to beat Rollins.

Rollins asks him to put his money where his mouth is and asks him to leave his crew in the back. Priest says he is cool with facing Seth all by himself. He says he will be the new World Heavyweight Champion by the end of the night. Rollins makes fun of Balor’s 24-hour reign and walks out of the ring.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Beck Lynch vs. Sonya Deville

Becky Lynch’s music plays and she walks to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Sonya Deville’s music plays and she walks out to the ring.

The match starts and Lynch goes for the Manhandle slam but Sonya fights out of it. Green distracts Becky and Deville takes advantage. She attacks Lynch in the corner. Lynch fights back with multiple dropkicks. She then hits a Becksploder suplex.

Lynch with a crossbody. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Trish Stratus’ music plays and she comes out with Zoey Stark. Lynch with a reverse DDT on Sonya. Cover! 1…2…kick out.

*Commercial break*

Deville with a superplex on Becky. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Both women exchange strikes. Lynch knocks down Deville who rolls out of the ring. Lynch with a baseball slide. She sends Sonya into the ring. Chelsea kicks Lynch in the face and sends her into the ring. Sonya with a knee to the face. Cover! 1…2…kick out.

Lynch with an enzuigiri. Lynch takes out Chelsea Green. She sends Deville into the barricade. She sends her into the ring. Lynch goes for the disarmher but Deville blocks it and rolls her up but can’t get the win.

Becky hits the Manhandle slam for the win.

Byron interviews Sami and Kevin. Sami says it is really nice to see The Usos do what they should’ve done months ago. He says it is not his problem anymore. They are interrupted by Kaiser and Vinci.

Kaiser tells them The Bloodline is not a problem but they are a problem as long as Owens and Zayn hold the tag titles. Owens gets angry with them. Gunther comes and says Owens needs to learn discipline and he will teach him discipline. Owens challenges him to a match and walks to the ring.

Gunther vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens’ music plays and he comes out to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Imperium’s theme song plays and they walk to the ring.

The match starts and Gunther takes down Owens with a headlock. Gunther knocks down Owens. Owens slaps Gunther and attacks him. Owens attacks him in the corner. Gunther with a German suplex on Owens who rolls out of the ring. Gunther sends Owens into the barricade. Gunther slams Owens on the apron.

*Commercial break*

Gunther hits Owens with a bodyslam. Gunther with a big boot on Owens. Owens tries to fight back but Gunther chops him down. Gunther locks in a Boston crab on Owens. Gunther then transitions to a crossface.

Owens tries to fight back again but is chopped down. Gunther with a clothesline on Owens. Both men exchange strikes. Gunther hits a German suplex but Owens returns with a German suplex.

Gunther chops Owens again and kicks him in the head. Owens fights back with multiple superkicks. He then hits a cannonball. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Gunther hits a dropkick.

Owens with a fisherman buster. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Owens climbs the top rope but is stopped by Gunther and suplexed off the top. Cover! 1…..2…..kick out. Gunther climbs the top rope but Owens gets his knees up. Owens with the Swanton Bomb. Cover! 1…2…kick out.

Zayn brawls with Vinci and Kaiser. Owens also brawls with them and hits the stunner on Kaiser. Gunther rolls Owens for the win.

Cathy interviews Matt Riddle who says he is tired of seeing Gunther cheat every week. He is interrupted by Kaiser and Vinci. Kaiser asks him to watch his mouth. Riddle attacks Kaiser and locks Vinci in an ankle lock. Security separates him.

Byron interviews Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. Shayna says being women’s tag champions was destiny. She says they tortured three other tag teams to become the tag champs. Ronda issues a challenge to any team to face them. Kayden Carter and Katana Chance interrupt and ask to face them. Ronda mocks them. Ronda says they will see them in the ring.

Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler vs. Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.

Ronda Rousey’s music plays and she comes out with Shayna Baszler.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance’s theme song plays and they come down to the ring.

The match begins with Baszler and Kayden. Carter kicks Baszler in the face and tags out. Ronda tags in and kicks Carter and takes down Chance. Rousey with an armbar on the ropes. Carter superkicks her. She then dives onto Baszler. Chance also dives onto Rousey.

Chance sends Rousey in the ring. Rousey attacks the arm of Chance. Rousey tags out and Baszler hits her with a sliding knee and then goes to work on Chance. Chance tags out and Carter knocks down Baszler and dropkicks her in the corner.

Carter plants Rousey on the mat. Baszler tags out and Rousey kicks her. Chance tags in. Rousey sent to the post. They hit the after-party. Cover! 1…2…Baszler makes the save. Carter dropkicks Baszler.

Chance goes for a kick but Rousey catches her and locks in the ankle lock but he gets out of it.. Chance with a knee to the face. Baszler tags in. Carter tags in. Baszler with a back suplex. Baszler locks in the Carafuda clutch for the win.

Winner: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler

Ricochet is backstage and he is interrupted by Bronson Reed who calls him lucky for being in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Ricochet reminds Reed that Nakamura ended his winning streak.

Reed says he was throwing Nakamura around. Nakamura enters and says he beat Reed. Ricochet says he is going to give Nakamura another L. Nakamura asks him to prove it in the ring.

Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Ricochet’s music hit and he walks down to the ring.

Shinsuke Nakamura’s music hit and he walks to the ring.

The match starts and Nakamura knocks down Ricochet who comes back with a dropkick. Ricochet goes for a kick but he is stopped by Nakamura with a kick. Nakamura climbs the top rope but is knocked down. Ricochet dives onto Nakamura.

*Commercial break*

Ricochet with a diving clothesline. He follows it with a shooting star press. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Ricochet with a splash in the corner. He goes for it again and misses. Nakamura hits Ricochet with a knee. He then hits a sliding German suplex.

Nakamura with an exploder suplex. He goes for the Kinshasa but Ricochet catches him with a knee and hits the recoil. Ricochet climbs the top rope but is stopped. Reed comes in and attacks both Nakamura and Ricochet. Reed hits a splash on Nakamura and knocks down Ricochet. He then hits the tsunami on Ricochet.

Winner: No Contest

Alpha Academy is backstage discussing what happened last week. Gable says Otis is the reason they all came together. Gable tells her an alpha doesn’t run from a fight. Maxxine makes fun of Valhalla’s costume. Gable says he instructed Otis to study the Viking raiders. Otis says they will take them out using deodorant. He also says Gable will train Maxxine to fight Valhalla. Gable says they can’t train with her outside. Maxxine goes to change her outfit.

Cody Rhodes is shown walking backstage.

The Miz is in the ring. He starts by saying tonight is a special night and so he has secured a special guest. He then introduces Cody Rhodes. Cody’s music hit and he makes his way to the ring.

Miz asks whether challenging Brock after he broke his arm was stupid. Cody says no one said it was stupid till now. Cody says Brock is on his annual hibernation. Miz says he loves a little controversy and he has a bit of surprise for Cody.

He says he thought he will invite someone else similar to Cody. The Miz then introduces Dominik. Dominik’s music hit and he comes down to the ring.

Rhea asks Miz to be quiet because Dominik has something to say. She hands the mic to Dominik who says he was happy when Miz invited him out here. He calls Cody a little birdie with a broken win. He then calls Cody a bad father. He says Cody should be at home taking care of his daughter which makes him a deadbeat dad.

Cody mocks Dominik’s prison experience. He then says Dominik got spanked by Rey at WrestleMania. He says he is not perfect and Rey has also made some terrible mistakes like giving birth to Dominik.

Dominik slaps Cody and gets behind Rhea. Dominik and Rhea get out of the ring. The Miz knocked out Miz with his cast.

Priest is shown warming up.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Natalya vs. Zoey Stark

Trish Stratus’ music plays and she comes out. Zoey Stark’s music hit and she joins her and they walk to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Natalya’s music hit and she comes down to the ring.

The match starts and Stark attacks Natalya in the corner. Zoey kicks Natalya in the face. She continues to attack her in the corner. Stark knocks down Natalya. Natalya locks in the sharpshooter on Stark who gets to the ropes. Zoey rolls out of the ring and Natalya goes after her and sends her into the ring. Trish attacks her and Stark hits the Z360 for the win.

Winner: Zoey Stark

Paul Heyman is backstage and he invites everyone to join him on SmackDown when Jey Uso makes his choice. He says he has to deliver unpleasant news even if he has to deliver it to Roman Reigns. He says the news is not pleasant as it will rip apart their family because Jey will make his choice and he choose and standby Solo Sikoa.

Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander vs. Indus Sher

Indus Sher’s music plays and they make their way to the ring. Shelton and Cedric are already in the ring.

Indus Sher attack Cedric and Shelton. They hit their double-team move on Cedric. The referee calls off the match. They do the same move again.

Winner: No Contest

Seth is shown getting ready for his match.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Damian Priest

Damian Priest’s music plays and he walks out to the ring. Seth Rollins’ theme song plays and he walks to the ring.

The match begins and Rollins attacks him in the corner. Rollins sends Priest outside and hits a diving knee.

*Commercial break*

Priest is sent outside. Rollins sends Priest into the post. Priest catches Rollins with a right hand. Priest attacks Rollins in the corner. Priest kicks Rollins in the face and goes to work on him.

Priest knocks Rollins down with a back elbow. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Both men exchange strikes. Rollins kicks Priest and knocks him down with a clothesline. Rollins with a splash in the corner. He follows it with a backbreaker.

Rollins goes for a frog splash and misses. Priest kicks him and hits the splash in the corner. Rollins fights back with a sling blade. Rollins goes for a suicide dive but Priest catches him and plants him on the announcer’s desk.

*Commercial break*

Rollins hits a superplex and a falcon arrow. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Rollins with a suicide dive on Priest. He does it two more times. Rollins sends Priest into the ring and hits a superkick. He then hits a frog splash. Cover! 1…2..kick out.

Priest kicks Rollins and plants him to the mat. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Rollins climbs the top rope but is kicked by Priest who hits the hurricanrana. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Priest goes for a clothesline but Rollins counters and hits the pedigree. Cover! 1….2….kick out.

Priest rolls to the apron. He rings Rollins’ bells and goes for a kick but misses and Rollins hits the barricade bomb. Balor interferes but Rollins superkicks him. Priest hits the clotheslines and hits the South of Heaven. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Priest asks Balor why he’s here. Priest goes for Razor’s edge but his shoulder gave out and Rolins hit him with an elbow and the stomp for the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins (c)

Balor gets in the ring and stares down Rollins who leaves the ring.
