AEW has many stars on their roster that have caused fans to make comparisons to other wrestlers, and some legends. Orange Cassidy’s name recently came up in a very interesting way, and the pro wrestling world’s interest was piqued.

Matt Hardy recently made a big statement that captured a ton of attention. The tag team specialist compared Orange Cassidy to The Undertaker. Naturally, many fans didn’t really see his point.

“In some ways, Orange Cassidy to Tony [Khan], at this stage right now, reminds me of the relationship between Vince McMahon and The Undertaker.”

Matt Hardy saw that his quotes got him mentions from Wrestle Cringe. Then he fired off a reply to let fans know that he was paying attention to this situation.

You should listen to what actually say before taking things outta context. The comparison is how Tony Khan depends on OC like VKM depended on Taker out of Day 1 loyalty. But hey, Wrestling Twitter is always gonna Wrestling Twitter.

We will have to see what happens next in this situation, because AEW could very well weave a reference of some kind in this. It seems that Orange Cassidy’s booking will be strong for a while, so that Undertaker comparison might stick.
