Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and wasted no time in making a huge impact on the company. Four years since his debut, Moxley has become a mainstay of AEW. Moxley competed in NJPW recently and it appears he plans on returning in the near future.

At the NJPW Dominion event, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Shota Umino challenged Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii & Hiroshi Tanahashi for the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship.

It was undoubtedly a physical affair from start to finish as fans expected nothing less. Jon Moxley in particular had a solid encounter with Tomohiro Ishii and fans simply lost their minds. Of course, The Blackpool Combat Club lost in the end despite their best efforts.

While speaking on a backstage interview following the bout at NJPW Dominion, Moxley talked about his lengthy absence from Japan and then revealed that he plans on returning to the promotion in the future.

“A couple kids, a couple trips to rehab later, here we are. Every single time I come back to Japan, I will give you you absolute best, just like Claudio will, just like Shooter will. I am so goddamned glad to be back in Japan.

This is a place where fighting spirit is revered, this is a place where fighting spirit pays off in the ring, in that magical moment where blood and sweat and will and guts and all that s*** mixes into one.

It’s the greatest f***** drug in the world. I love that s***. F*** yeah. We’ll wrestle again. I got f****”” plans. I got a fucking resident card now. I know Okada has been f*****” with the visa thing and trying to get our shit stopped up. But I got the card now. I’ll come back whenever the f*** I want. Thank you, Japan.

Jon Moxley also recently got a new tattoo before his NJPW return. We will have to wait and see whether The Purveyor Of Violence will make his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling sooner rather than later.
