Sami Zayn has been working in WWE for 10 years now and has always made sure to make the best of what he was been dealt with. Zayn and Kevin Owens also defeated Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Night Of Champions after some unexpected distractions, but that wasn’t all that fans were talking about during Zayn’s trip to Saudi Arabia. Zayn already commented on the matter but now it appears that WWE removed those comments entirely.

Back in 2018, WWE started their controversial program with Saudi Arabia and so far has produced quite a few Premium Live Events. In the following years, Sami Zayn had been kept off of WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia, due to his Syrian heritage. Even Kevin Owens had requested to be left off any Saudi Arabian events.

Zayn managed to have a safe trip to Saudi Arabia at WWE Night Of Champions this year and fans were glad. That said, Zayn recently spoke on Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast, where he made some controversial comments about his Saudi Arabia trip. Zayn stated that there were completely fabricated assumptions about his trip.

“It was a really, really, really kind of a heavy trip, to be honest. There was a lot that went into it. First of all, the fact that I haven’t been there in a few years, and that there’s been so much speculation as to why I’m not going and what’s the political reasoning, this and that. I won’t get into all of it, but I’ll tell you 99.9% of what you’ve read online about his subject, completely fabricated, people assuming things and then running with those assumptions and adding on to them. It’s wild. I think it’s anytime they can’t get a concrete answer, that’s kind of what tends to happen. I think that’s like human nature, almost.”

Since those comments, the original recording of the show has been removed, and replaced with a version where Sami Zayn’s comments about not appearing on the shows were removed. It’s not known why WWE would remove those comments and it might just remain a mystery for a long time.

What’s your view on Sami Zayn’s comments getting removed? Are you shocked by WWE’s actions? Let us know in the comments!
