Will Ospreay emerged victorious over Lance Archer in the finals of the IWGP US Title number one contenders tournament at NJPW Dominion. This win grants Ospreay an opportunity to challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP US Title at the highly anticipated AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event scheduled for June 25.

The match ending saw Ospreay deliver his devastating finishing move, the hidden blade, to secure the victory over Archer. Following the bout, Ospreay didn’t waste any time and immediately called out Omega, boldly declaring his intention to travel to Canada and retrieve the IWGP US Title.

It is worth noting that Omega previously captured the title from Ospreay at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, adding an extra layer of history and rivalry to their upcoming clash.

Ospreay’s journey to the finals included a semifinal victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Resurgence. Originally, Archer was scheduled to face Juice Robinson in the semifinals, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Robinson was replaced by Fred Rosser. Archer emerged victorious against Rosser at NJPW Collision in Philadelphia, paving his way to the finals against Ospreay.
