Roman Reigns is celebrating 1,000 days as champion. Now, he is no longer Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, because the company created a brand-new title for him.

Triple H introduced Roman Reigns this week to close out SmackDown. After giving Reigns a great speech, he explained that they are introducing a new title for the Tribal Chief.
The Game then lifted off a cloth from a belt on a podium in the ring to reveal the new WWE Universal Title. As soon as Roman Reigns got the new title, he lifted it above his head as WWE set off pyro.
Roman Reigns carried the WWE Undisputed Universal Title for so long that they had to introduce a new World Heavyweight Championship on RAW. Now, Roman Reigns has new hardware to carry around as well.
This was a big moment for the Tribal Chief’s reign as champion. Obviously, this was a long time coming. Now, Paul Heyman will only have to carry around one title for Roman Reigns.
It was previously reported that WWE was going to give Roman Reigns a new title. We heard rumors about a photo of the title floating around prior to the big announcement as well. Only time will tell how much longer Roman Reigns has with his new title.
