The Undertaker put his body on the line for the enjoyment of fans and most of them always appreciated that. This commitment has earned him legendary status, but it has its drawbacks. Now it appears The Deadman is shocked by the hate he gets for not staying in character anymore.

The Deadman was a fixture of WWE television for over thirty years, and he continued to be a highlight of WWE television since the early 90s. He finally retired at Survivor Series 2020 and even got inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year.

The Phenom was famous for never breaking character and always maintaining the mystique surrounding his character until the very end of his career as a professional wrestler.

In the years since then, he has been acting as himself in interviews and some fans find it jarring. While speaking to Manchester Evening News, The Undertaker revealed that he has been getting a lot of hate for not staying in character anymore – something he finds baffling.

“It’s so funny the amount of hate that I’ve got, from people now, you know, they hear my normal voice, and me talk about normal things.

The hate that I get because people feel like I destroyed their childhood and I’m like “me!?, me!? I was the last one. I was the last one, I’m the guy you’re gonna take you’re heat out on?”

The Undertaker also made it clear that he will never wear his iconic attire ever again. Regardless, The Phenom will forever be regarded as one of the true GOATs of the world of professional wrestling and that’s all that matters.
