There are a ton of people that became huge fans of the ‘Dark Side Of The Ring’ series by Vice Media, which would expose the ugly underbelly of pro wrestling and reveal a lot of unknown details about a particular wrestler or organization. Now it appears the producer of the series believes Vince McMahon’s allegations will take years to unpack.

Vince McMahon made headlines back in June 2022 for all the wrong reasons after it was revealed that he secretly paid $3 million in a hush-money scandal. Things only got worse for McMahon, as he was eventually forced to retire from the company. Of course, McMahon made his way back into the news later on after a couple of other allegations resurfaced.

Vince McMahon was accused of sexual assault by former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, who accused him of the act back in 1992. Things did not end just there either as a lot of developments took place.

In November 2022, McMahon’s attorney received a letter from Chatterton, in which she demanded $11.75 million in compensation for the alleged assault after her allegations were brought back to the public’s attention in 2022. McMahon eventually reached a multi-million dollar settlement with Chatterton.

In addition to that, Vince McMahon was also hit with a lawsuit by a spa manager. It has been a while since the allegations and some people seem to have forgotten them after McMahon returned to WWE and eventually sold it to UFC’s parent company Endeavor

While speaking with Connor Casey on ComicBook Nation, Dark Side of the Ring Executive Producer and co-creator Evan Husney claimed that Vince McMahon’s allegations will take years to unpack.

“It’s funny to see on social media, I do get a kick out of it. When something controversial happens in the modern age of wrestling, you instantly get the Dark Side memes. That’s fun. The way that I look at these modern stories, with most of the stories we cover on the show, there is the benefit of hindsight or so much time has gone by, the story is done. The story is finished, so we can really get into it and try to unpack it. These stories that pop up in the last year or two, those are stories that are not really done being told. I think we might have to wait a few years, maybe more, before we can really dive in and unpack and truly understand every aspect of that story.”

The fourth season of ‘Dark Side Of The Ring’ has already started and it remains to be seen whether fans will get to see Vince McMahon’s allegations featured in the show, as long as it takes.
