Vince McMahon is the Executive Chairman of WWE and has ruled over the company for several decades with an iron fist. He cares about WWE’s reputation the most and wants everything done perfectly. McMahon has a reputation for going insane backstage and now it appears Teddy Long defended McMahon going on backstage rampages.

Vince McMahon made headlines back in June 2022 for all the wrong reasons after it was revealed that he secretly paid $3 million in a hush-money scandal. It was all downhill for McMahon, as he was eventually forced to retire from the company he helped build.

The WWE Chairman would eventually return to the company earlier this year and took hold of WWE once again. McMahon is known to tear up scripts for shows when he was the Head Of Creative and would often rage over the smallest of things.

While speaking to Sporskeeda WrestleBinge, WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long talked about what it was like for him to work under Vince McMahon. Long then explained why McMahon would go on backstage rampages in WWE.

“I can’t just say what he’s really like because I didn’t hang out with him that much, but the time that I get a chance to spend with him, I thought he was one of the nicest people in the world.

I’ve seen him go on these rampages and stuff, but like I always say, this man has a billion-dollar operation that he’s running and then one little thing can happen and can screw his whole company up.

So I can understand why if somebody goes out and says the wrong thing or makes a mistake, you know what that can do.

I don’t know if I’d be as mad as I’ve seen him, but he lets you know, don’t make that mistake no more and I didn’t have no problem with that. I didn’t have no problem with Vince. He was just as nice as he could be.”

Vince McMahon is also making changes to WWE shows remotely from now on, after the debacle that took place on the RAW after WrestleMania 39 this year. Regardless, McMahon will do what he wants to and that’s never changing.
