WWE has seen numerous changes since Triple H took over as the Creative head of the company. That said, Vince McMahon also came back to WWE earlier this year and many still believe he still has creative pull in the company. That said, there are certain WWE Superstars who are getting pushed now and it appears a select few talent as well as fans were blasting for not believing in Triple H and Vince McMahon’s choices.
Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in pro wrestling. Del Rio used to have a lot of fans but he has lost most of them by now. That being said, Del Rio has a lot of respect for what WWE does now.
After Triple H took over as head of Creative, there have been quite a few different WWE Superstars who have been on the receiving end of a push. The likes of Austin Theory and Gunther certainly come to mind.
While speaking on WrestleBinge, Alberto Del Rio mentioned one of the biggest issues recently was that some wrestlers and fans believe that other wrestlers who get pushed by Triple H and Vince McMahon are overrated. Del Rio blasted those wrestlers and fans for not believing in Triple H and McMahon. Del Rio also highlighted how some wrestlers think they are better than their actual worth.
“In this business, there’s no such thing as, ‘Oh, he’s overrated.’ Or, ‘He’s getting stuff he doesn’t deserve.” If Triple H or Vince McMahon are saying you deserve the titles, or you deserve the opportunities, you do. Who do you think you are to say different?
That’s the problem these days. We have all these wrestlers that are getting the opportunity right now, and they are champions right now. They think they are better than what they really are. They don’t understand because they just started in the business. They don’t understand it’s not about getting the opportunity but proving through the years that you deserved that opportunity. Or the company was not wrong to give you that opportunity.”
Alberto Del Rio is also certain he will get inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame someday. Regardless, only time will tell whether Del Rio ends up in WWE again after his departure back in 2016.
