Sabu is a former ECW World Champion and ECW Tag Team Champion, who made a name for himself as one of the innovators of violence in ECW in the early ’90s. He recently debuted in AEW and shocked fans in a big way. That said, it appears that Tony Khan was accused of ripping off Sabu’s ECW theme song.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was a packed show, as it was the go-home edition before Double Or Nothing. It featured numerous surprises, including Sabu making his shocking debut.
Sabu appeared during Chris Jericho and Adam Cole’s segment to a massive pop. With his debut, Sabu had the ‘Return To The Huka’ theme song as well. This song was immortalized during his time in ECW.
Former ECW composer Harry Slash took to Twitter and accused Tony Khan of ripping off his theme song. Slash then took a shot at Tony Khan by pondering whether Khan will send him a t-shirt, insinuating that AEW is nothing but a t-shirt company.
So, my #ECW theme for Sabu, Huka Blues, has now been cloned by two different companies, TNA and@AEW . Maybe @TonyKhanwill send me a t-shirt?
Sabu’s racist and drug-filled posts also resurfaced after his AEW debut, which made fans wonder why AEW had him appear in the first place while they banned Hulk Hogan. We’ll have to see whether Tony Khan will respond to this accusation.
What’s your view on this accusation? Do you think Tony Khan should pay Harry Slash for using Sabu’s theme song? Let us know in the comments!
