AEW Double or Nothing is coming at fans on May 28th, and they had a special treat for fans on Dynamite. Adam Cole announced that Sabu will be in his corner when he takes on Chris Jericho, and this caused a huge reaction online.

Tony Khan was raked over the coals for bringing Sabu to AEW. Not only was Sabu’s previous behavior highlighted, but TK was dragged over the music he used as well.
During the Double or Nothing conference call, Tony Khan was asked about Sabu. The AEW President then went on to say that the ECW Original will likely only have a one-off showing in his company. He is booked for Double or Nothing, and that will probably be it for Sabu.
When asked about Sabu, Tony Khan indicated that it is likely a one-off appearance for him at Double or Nothing. However, if the appearance goes well, there could be potential for Sabu to return for additional guest appearances in the future. Khan expressed openness to the idea of Sabu coming back down the line. He also shared a personal anecdote about his father texting him earlier in the day, reminiscing about how they had attended a Sabu vs. Chris Jericho match in ECW when Tony was just 13 years old.
Fans caused a lot of issues for the company when Sabu showed up on AEW Dynmaite. The fact that Hulk Hogan is banned from AEW when Sabu isn’t was brought up several times. Hulk Hogan has apologized many times for his racist language, but Sabu doubled-down on calling Taz the N-Word.
We will have to see how Sabu is able to affect Chris Jericho and Adam Cole’s match at Double or Nothing. His appearance certainly created headlines already.
