Jamie Hayter is a pro wrestling veteran who has clawed her way to the top in AEW. It was not an easy road for the young star, as she took a while to find her groove in the company. The AEW Women’s Champion is set for a huge match at Double Or Nothing, but it appears that she is suffering from an injury ahead of the pay-per-view.
Jamie Hayter has been the AEW Women’s Champion since winning the interim title at Full Gear Last year, which was later recognized as the official champion. Since then, she has defended it continuously and won over fans.
For the past few months, Jamie Hayter has been feuding with Saraya, Ruby Soho and Toni Storm alongside Britt Baker and now Hikaru Shida. She is set to defend her title against Toni Storm, but that might be in question now.
While speaking during this week’s Fightful AEW Dynamite recap show, Sean Ross Sapp revealed that Jamie Hayter is currently injured ahead of Double Or Nothing. He then hinted that Hayter could just drop the title at the event.
“Jamie Hayter is hurt. She is hurt. I’m thinking this division looks categorically different in 5 days. I see the winds of change coming here and I think we’re in for some major change in this division.”
Jamie Hayter defeated Toni Storm to win the AEW Women’s Title in the first place, so Storm winning it back would actually make sense. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Hayter will end up taking time off after AEW Double Or Nothing.
