WWE has not seen any sweeping releases to the roster since Triple H took over, but htat is about to change. After the dust settles from Night of Champions and the 2023 WWE Draft, some big cuts are reportedly around the corner.

Wrestle Votes spoke to Give Me Sport about WWE’s future plans. It was noted that several cuts to the WWE roster are on the way.

No names were mentioned in this report, but the expectation is that fans should see “a minor batch of releases” go down before July rolls around. Of course, it was also noted that there is hope that this doesn’t happen, because nobody wants to see someone lose their job.

“I don’t know names at all, but I know a source that has said to expect a minor batch of releases prior to July 1, I think that’s just business. Hopefully I’m wrong on that one, but I would expect prior to the second half of this year, a few cuts just because of the circumstances that the company finds themselves in right now.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE has not made any calls to lay off office employees since Endeavor’s merger of WWE and UFC. That might change for the roster, because Triple H could trim some names in the not too distant future.

The big question is who Triple H will decide to cut. Vince McMahon might also have a say in this situation as well, so we will have to keep a close eye on this situation.
