The Brood was regarded as one of the top stables during the Attitude Era as it made stars out of Edge and Christian, with Gangrel being the heart of the stable. All three performers have gone their own paths, with Gangrel doing a variety of different projects. There were rumors that Gangrel was going to appear at WrestleMania 39 but that didn’t happen. Now it appears that he decided to dismiss those reports.

WrestleMania 39 was truly a couple of nights of memorable matches and terrific moments that will live in the minds of fans forever. This also included Edge and Finn Balor’s match at the Show of Shows.

Gangrel was in Los Angeles for WrestleCon before WrestleMania 39 and many assumed he was going to be there for Edge and Balor’s Hell In A Cell match. Some reports even suggested the same, but that isn’t what happened.

While speaking with WrestlingNewsCo, the pro wrestling legend was asked about rumors of his WrestleMania 39. Gangrel made sure to shut down those rumors and noted that there was no truth to them whatsoever.

“I believe it may have been pitched, but I never heard about it. I called Edge and said ‘Hey, where’d all these rumors start?’ And he goes ‘Ah, they think they know everything.'”

Edge ended up winning the match after Finn Balor got busted open the hard way, in a move that puzzled many fans. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Gangrel will ever return to WWE television.
