Gunther Is In No Rush To Dethrone Roman Reigns

Gunther’s incredible performance in NXT UK was simply just the beginning of his career in WWE. Following a decent run on NXT after that, Gunther was called up to the main roster and has since become a bonafide star there. Now it appears that Gunther is in no rush to dethrone Roman Reigns.

The Ring General won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in June 2022 and has since defended it several times already. With each win, Gunther’s stock continues to rise and he becomes more and more dominating.

The Intercontinental Champion was drafted to Monday Night RAW during this year’s edition of the WWE Draft and fans wondered whether there will come a time when he finally squares off against Roman Reigns.

While speaking with Mike Jones on DC101, Gunther talked about the possibility of duking it out with Roman Reigns in the future. Gunther made it clear that he is in no rush to face Roman Reigns and dethrone him.

“I think there’s no rush with that. I think he’s doing his thing right now and I’m very focused on doing my thing. I didn’t really have an urge to seek out that confrontation yet but, like you said, down the line it’s one of the matches fans are looking forward to.”

It remains to be seen when The Ring General and the Tribal Chief will cross paths, as it will definitely be a main event-level feud. Perhaps Gunther will be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns once and for all.
