Chris Jericho’s contributions as a pro wrestler need no introduction. He has competed in various promotions all around the globe for three decades. Jericho is also proud to be working in AEW and isn’t afraid to show it. Now it appears that he wants to make a ‘Painmaker’ movie because he is sick of Batman and Spider-Man.

Le Champion has competed in numerous pro wrestling companies over the course of his career, including ECW, WCW and WWE and more. He is truly a master of gimmick changes and reinvention in a big way.

After all, Chris Jericho came up with his Painmaker gimmick during his time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he terrorized the likes of Tetsuya Naito, Hiroshi Tanahashi and others.

While speaking on The Rick & Cutter Show, Chris Jericho stated that he wants to bring his Painmaker character to the silver screen, which is why a movie is currently being made. Jericho added that he is simply sick of Batman and Spider-Man and other such superheroes, which is a big reason why he decided to make a Painmaker movie.

I just put out a comic book for a character that I played in Japan called the Painmaker. It’s a wrestling character that I made a comic book character with the end game being a Painmaker movie because I’m sick of Batman, Superman, Spider-Man movies. Sooner or later, someone has to create a new superhero, so I created this Painmaker character. ‘You want to do a movie?’ Yeah, I’m going to do a movie. What do you think about that? You just get the confidence to know there is always a way to make things work if you believe in it and want to do it, then go do it. Don’t make excuses why it’s not going to happen, find out the reasons how you can make it work and then make it go happen.”

Chris Jericho even believed a feud with Malakai Black as the Painmaker would have happened in AEW. Regardless, we will have to wait and see when Jericho’s movie will come out.
