CM Punk remains one of the biggest and most controversial names in recent memory, whose mouth has gotten him into more trouble than any other wrestler for a long time now. With Punk set to make his AEW return soon, it appears that Tony Khan was warned that Punk might just no-show his return at AEW Collision.

CM Punk has been absent since All Out last year and fans wondered when he would finally return. It was then reported that The Second City Saint will be returning to AEW programming as the main attraction for their new show AEW Collision, which will be a two-hour show.

The company even has a possible feud with Samoa Joe planned for CM Punk. All this is due to AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery working out a major deal which will allow AEW Collision to become a reality.

It is also a known fact that CM Punk and The Elite are not on the best of terms right now following their backstage brawl at AEW All Out. While speaking on his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette warned Tony Khan that Punk’s issues with The Elite could lead to The Second City Saint no-showing his return at AEW Collision next month.

“If Punk is indeed instrumental in this deal and getting the second show from Warner Bros. Discovery and they announce the new show, and they’ve got that building in Chicago booked, and they call it ‘The Second Coming’, and everybody buys those tickets… If any of the EVPs, or their friends, or their stooges, or their family members were to fart in Punk’s general direction and p*ss him off at that point — can you imagine what Tony Khan would have if he ended up with a sold out United Center, debut of a live television program again, that came to see one thing, and Punk just wasn’t there?

When [Tony Khan] rolls the dice on all this and makes all these announcements and he’s made these deals with the network and whatever, he’d better make sure that those little fcking cretinous little crumb-snatchers that leech off of him don’t do the same thing they’ve been doing repeatedly over and over. Because that could lead to his goddmn Waterloo.”

CM Punk is also training hard ahead of his AEW return. He also has a lot of supporters in AEW right now. In fact, AEW even has a special name for Punk’s return episode, so it remains to be seen how his return will turn out.

What’s your view on this CM Punk story? Do you think he might no-show AEW Collison because of The Elite? Let us know in the comments!
