WWE RAW Results Coverage, Reactions & Highlights For May 15, 2023

It’s Monday night, and you know what that means! WWE RAW will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

Tonight promises another exciting night of action as we will find out who will be Gunther’s next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship. After her return last week, Becky Lynch will address Trish Stratus and her actions tonight. The updated match card is as follows:

WWE RAW Opener:

The opening package for the show airs. The commentators welcome the audience to the show.

Kevin Owens’ theme song plays and he comes out. Sami Zayn’s music hit next and he joins him and they both make their way to the ring.

Sami starts by saying he is excited tonight because they found out that they will defend their titles against Reigns and Sikoa at Night of Champions. He says that’s a big threat to their titles but they see it as a gift because they a get a chance for revenge.

He says Owens’ should’ve beaten Reigns for the title and he should’ve beaten Reigns at Elimination Chamber. He then says they are going to check him. He then says Reigns is the one causing the Bloodline to crumble. Zayn says it’s never enough for him and now he wants the tag titles as well but he can’t have them.

The Judgment Day’s music plays and they walk out. Owens interrupts them and says he is so sick of talking about The Bloodline and challenges them to a fight. Zayn stops him and says they don’t have an issue with the Judgment Day and says let’s hear them out.

Priest says he would love to fight about Balor stops him and says they are here to talk. He says they came wish them the best of luck. He also says they are right back to where they started. Balor says if they win, Judgment Day will be waiting for them. Rhea says Judgment Day runs RAW.

Zayn says he wants to hear what Dominik has to say and asks him to weigh in. Dominik tries to talk but the crowd boos him. Owens says he should punch him in the face. Damian clobbered Zayn and the Judgment Day attacks Owens. Zayn enters the ring with a steel chair and chases Judgment Day away.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Miz

Shinsuke Nakamura’s music plays and he walks out to the ring.

*Commercial break*

The Miz’s music plays and he walks to the ring.

The match begins and Miz extends his hand but Nakamura kicks it away. Nakamura knocks down Miz and attacks him with the knees. The Miz fights back with a boot to the face of Nakamura and he goes to work on him. Miz sent to the outside. Nakamura with a sliding kick.

Nakamura with a knee to the neck of Miz. He sends Miz into the ring. Miz uses the ropes and hits a neckbreaker to Nakamura. Miz with a kick to Nakamura’s head.

*Commercial break*

Nakamura knocks down Miz. He kicks The Miz in the chest. Nakamura sets Miz on the turnbuckle and hits him with a running knee. Nakamura goes for the arm bar but Miz rolls him up and hits the DDT. Cover! 1..2…kick out.

The Miz kicks Nakamura in the chest. Nakamura fights back with a kick to the head. Cover! 1..2…kick out. Nakamura delivers the sliding German suplex on The Miz. Nakamura goes for Kinshasa but Miz evades and grabs something from under the ring and pokes Nakamura in the eye. He hits the skull-crushing finale. Cover! 1..2…Nakamura gets his foot on the bottom rope. Nakamura recovers and hits the Kinshasa for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Chelsea and Sonya are backstage arguing with Adam Pearce and Raquel. Adam says Liv is injured and isn’t cleared to compete. Hence their title match is postponed. Sonya says they should forfeit the titles. Raquel says the match is not happening but will face Chelsea tonight.

Imperium is walking backstage.

*Commercial break*

Rollins is interviewed and he says when he started in NXT, there was a need to take the industry by storm and he had a vision. He says he could push the injury forward by becoming the first NXT Champion.

Rollins says he turned on the Shield because they had beaten everyone and the future would’ve been different if he hadn’t turned on The Shield.

Imperium’s music plays and they walk to the ring. Gunther climbs onto the announcer’s desk. Kaiser demands the fans to show gratitude for Gunther. He passes the mic to Gunther who says he dominated SmackDown as the Intercontinental Champion. He then says from this day forward he will continue to dominate RAW.

Gunther says no one has yet to be identified as his next challenger but one man can achieve both tonight by winning the battle royale.

Battle Royale to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship

Ricochet’s music plays and he walks to the ring. Bronson Reed’s theme song plays next and he makes his way to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Apollo Crews’ music plays and he walks to the ring. Matt Riddle’s theme song plays and he walks to the ring.

The match begins and all the men brawl in the ring. Aikira Tozawa is eliminated by Corbin. Lumis eliminates Corbin and Maximum Male Models eliminates him. Mace is eliminated by Otis.

JD McDonagh eliminates Humberto. Ziggler eliminates him with a superkick but is thrown over the top rope by Wagner. McDonagh attacks Ziggler and smashes his head into the steel steps.

*Commercial break*

Shelton tries to attack Viking Raiders but they eliminate him. Alpha Academy and Viking Raiders brawl in the ring. Erik with a knee to Gable’s face. Otis eliminates Erik. Ivar eliminates Gable. Reed eliminates Otis and Ivar.

They all gang up on Bronson Reed. Gargano with a hurricanrana to Ali and a neckbreaker. Gargano spears Ali. Reed hits Moss with a Samoan drop. Elias with a jumping knee on Creed. Creed eliminates Elias before being eliminated by Reed.

Reed plants Ricochet and Gargano. Riddle with a jumping knee to Reed. He then hits the floating bro. Moss knocks down Riddle.

Riddle eliminates Moss and then eliminates Gargano. Imperium try to eliminate Riddle. Reed eliminates Riddle. Ricochet with a dropkick. Ali and Ricochet try to eliminate Reed but he hangs on to the rope. Reed lifts Ricochet on his shoulders. Ali eliminates them both with a dropkick off the top rope.

Winner: Mustafa Ali

Becky Lynch is shown walking backstage.

Becky Lynch’s music plays and she walks to the ring. She gets on the mic and says she has been going through some stuff and she puts on a brave face to become the person she wants to be. And when it became too much for her, she asked for help from Lita and Trish. She says Lita was great and Trish hadn’t skipped a beat.

She says her judgment was clouded and she couldn’t see that Trish was only back to help herself. She then thanks Trish because she turned on a light that had been off for many months. She then says that Trish reminded her the only thing that matters is protecting her loved ones when she called her daughter stupid.

Becky says that is number one now and she will kick Trish’s head in at Night of Champions.

Rhea Ripley is shown watching backstage. Cathy Kellley interviews Rhea who says Natalya needs to stay in her lane. Natalya interrupts her and says this is about her beating someone who was already down. She says Rhea deserves respect. Rhea says Natalya didn’t come down for Dana and she is trying to make everyone care about her again. She then warns that she will end her career if she interrupts her again. She then leaves with Dominik.

Xavier Woods vs. Dominik Mysterio

Xavier Woods’ theme song plays and he comes out to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Ali runs into Alpha Academy backstage and he says he used to be a loser like them but he became a winner after being positive. He runs into Imperium. Gunther congratulates him and says he feels regret for him because he will suffer the biggest loss of his career and wishes him luck.

Ali says Gunther has to travel to Saudi just for him to lose.

Dominik Mysterio’s music hit and he comes out. He asks Woods if he is here to convince himself that he is going to beat him. Woods stops him and says he doesn’t have anyone to watch his back but he is a grown man who can fight his own battles.

The match begins and Woods knocks down Dominik with a shoulder tackle. Dominik attacks Woods in the corner. Woods with a comeback and he knocks him down. Woods with a suplex. Cover! 1..2…kick out.

Rhea gets between Dominik and Woods.

*Commercial break*

Dominik knocks down Woods. Dominik sets Woods on the top rope but is knocked down. Woods with a missile dropkick. Woods knocks Dominik down. Cover! 1…2..kick out. Woods attacks Dominik in the corner. Woods hits a clothesline. Cover! 1….2….kick out. Woods sent outside the ring. He tries to get back in but Dominik stops him and hits the three amigos.

Dominik climbs the top rope and goes for a frog splash but Woods gets his knees up and hits the gutbuster. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Woods climbs the top rope and goes for a leg drop but Rhea pulls Dominik out of the ring. Woods dives onto him and sends him into the ring. Rhea attacks Woods and sends him into the ring. Dominik rolls him up for the win.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio

Cathy Kelley interviews JD McDonagh who says he came to RAW to make a statement and Ziggler was the best person to do that. Indus Sher are shown walking backstage.

Indus Sher vs. local talent

Indus Sher’s music hit and he walks to the ring. The match starts Veer attacks their opponents and tags out. Sanga continues the attack. He asks him to tag out. Sanga attacks him and tags out.

Sanga with a body slam and Veer with an elbow drop. Veer attacks him in the corner and tags out. They hit a double-team combo for the win.

Winner: Indus Sher

Jinder Mahal gets on the mic and says they are here to rule. Jinder says this is their show and their future will be written in gold.

Owens and Zayn are backstage and are interrupted by Gunther who says he won’t tolerate any disrespect. Owens says he will fight all of them next week. Imperium leave.

Cody is shown backstage making his way to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Cody Rhodes’ music plays and he walks to the ring. He gets on the mic and says he knows this arena. He says Brock has elected not to be here. He then narrates a story about the scorpion and the frog.

He then says it is Lesnar’s nature to hunt. He then asks Lesnar how is face is. He says Brock looks in a mirror and he will see a set of staples but when he looks in the mirror he sees the man who put those staples there. He then says he accepts Lesnar’s challenge.

Cody says Lesnar has been on top because he is better than 99.9% of the superstars who enter the ring but he was not better than him. He says this is about who is the big thing on RAW.

Cody says Brock has conquered WWE but he needs him to step aside because he is not the big thing anymore.

Zoey is talking to Cross who is ignoring her. Candace interrupts them and challenges her to a match.

Raquel Rodriguez vs. Chelsea Green

Raquel Rodriguez’s music plays and she walks to the ring.

Chelsea Green’s theme song plays and she walks to the ring.

The match begins and Raquel knocks her down. She then slams her face on the turnbuckle. Sonya distracts Raquel and Green hits a backstabber and stomps her face.

Green attacks her in the corner. Green goes to work on Raquel. Chelsea with a dropkick. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Raquel hangs Chelsea on the top rope. She then hits her with a couple of clotheslines.

Raquel hits a fallaway slam. She then hits a twisted senton and a Tehana bomb for the win.

Winner: Raquel Rodriguez

Ronda Rousey kicks Raquel and Shayna Baszler attacks her. Rousey says she is going to defend her title or she will be beaten until she does. Shayna delivers a knee to the face.

*Commercial break*

Imperium is backstage and they shake hands with Paul Heyman who calls Roman Reigns afterward.

Rollins’ interview continues and he says his hands are off the wheel and they in this crazy experience with the WWE Universe. He says this is the most authentic version of himself. He says there is some organic relationship and the WWE Universe has been the catalyst for the change in him.

Rollins says they need a change again and nobody on the top wants to take any risks. He says now is the perfect for a new World Heavyweight Championship belt.

The Judgment Day vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

The Judgment Day’s music plays and they walk to the ring.

*Commercial break*

Kevin Owens’ music plays and he walks out. Sami Zayn’s music hit next and he joins him and they both make their way to the ring.

The match begins with Sami and Balor. Balor takes down Sami. Zayn takes down Balor and works the arm. Zayn with an arm drag on Balor.

Balor tags out and Priest attacks Sami in the corner. Sami with an elbow off the top rope. Cover! 1…kick out. He tags out and Owens attacks Priest with an enzuigiri. He sends Priest and Balor outside the ring. Balor calls out Rhea and Dominik and they come out to ringside.

*Commercial break*

Balor attacks Sami in the corner. Sami fights back with a clothesline. Both men tag out and Owens attacks Priest and Balor. Priest rolls out of the ring and Owens attacks him with a senton before sending him in the ring. He then hits a cannonball. Cover! 1….2….kick out.

Dominik distracts Owens and Priest attacks him from behind. The referee ejects Rhea and Dominik. Owens with a kick to the gut of Priest. Woods attacks Dominik from behind and chases him away.

Heyman comes out to ringside. Priest hits a clothesline to Owens.

*Commercial break*

Priest with an elbow in the corner. he tags out and Balor attacks him/ Balor tags out and Priest hits a leg drop. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Priest sets Owens on the top rope but is knocked off. Owens with a Swanton bomb on Priest.

Owens tags out to Sami and he attacks Balor and takes him down. Sami with a Michinoku driver. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Sami climbs the top rope and jumps off. Balor with the sling blade. Sami hits a blue thunder bomb. Imperium appears at ringside. Balor with a reverse DDT. Cover! 1…2…Owens breaks it up. Owens stuns Priest but is sent outside. Sami with an exploder suplex on Balor.

He then hits the Helluva kick and Imperium distracts the referee. Owens attacks them but Priest chokeslams him on the apron. Sami dives onto Priest. Imperium distract the referee again and Balor hits the shotgun dropkick followed by the coup de grace for the win.

Winner: The Judgment Day
