WWE has seen a lot of changes in the past few months. Vince McMahon’s return to the company saw him usher in a sale, which culminated in a merger with the UFC under Endeavor’s umbrella. Triple H led the company’s creative direction as Chief Content Officer, but there were also a few changes for WrestleMania stories along the way, and that included character direction.
WWE had to switch up a few things on the road to WrestleMania 39, including Bray Wyatt’s situation. You can click here for our latest update about Bray Wyatt. It seems that a lot more changed than just Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania plans.
Wrestle Votes tweeted out a bit of a tidbit update for fans on a Monday morning. It was noted that several WWE Superstars’ creative directions have not turned out as they were originally planned.
Interesting tidbit: source says a number of creative decisions & ideas planned prior to WrestleMania have not gone the way some envisioned. Not to say for better or worse, but the direction for some superstars is far different than what had been internally discussed.
We will have to see how things pan out in the weeks to come. WWE is coming up on another big Saudi Arabian pay-per-view, and odds are Night of Champions will be a banner event. A new World Heavyweight Champion will also be crowned on that show, which will be historic.
Triple H is still Chief Content Officer, and he’s leading WWE’s creative direction. Vince McMahon is also very much still around, and The Chairman can offer his firm suggestions at any time he pleases. That could add up to some interesting creative directions in the future, but this latest report did not specifically note who we’re talking about here.
