NXT has gone through a lot of changes over the course of the past few years, with NXT 2.0 being the biggest change back in 2021. Things are certainly different in NXT now with Shawn Michaels in charge, but it appears that quite a few NXT Superstars were allegedly afraid of getting called up to the main roster.
As fans are aware by now, every talent that makes their way to NXT spent a long time in the developmental brand in order to get ready for the main roster. Afterwards, they are called up to Monday Night RAW or Friday Night Smackdown.
Former WWE star Axel Tischer, who was known as Alexander Wolfe in NXT, was part of the company for quite a few years and that included the main roster. While Wolfe was released from WWE a while ago, he is aware of how things used to back during his time there.
While speaking with So Catch, Alexander Wolfe talked about the main differences between NXT and the main roster. Wolfe claimed that quite a few NXT Superstars were afraid of getting called up to the main roster.
“A lot of people were afraid of getting a call-up, and that spread to the office, that they say, ‘Guys, what the hell?’
‘NXT,’ they help you with that a little bit more. You tour together … they book for you the hotels, they take care of the food.”
Alexander Wolfe was called up as part of the SAnitY faction with Eric Young and Big Damo back in 2018 and eventually returnred to NXT in 2019 before getting released in 2021. While it is unknown if he will ever return to WWE, Wolfe will always be grateful for his time in the company.
What’s your opinion on what Alexander Wolfe said? Do you think many NXT Superstars shouldn’t be called up to the main roster? Let us know in the comments!
