WWE is the biggest pro wrestling company in the world and there are simply a lot of inner workings that go on behind the scenes that ensure that fans get to experience the best product possible. That said, it appears that WWE ended up botching an entrance graphic during Smackdown this week.
As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan defended the Women’s Tag Team Championships against Damage CTRL’s Bayley and Dakota. In the end, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez successfully retained their titles after a hard-fought battle.
However, before the match even started, the company made a major blunder right before the two defended their titles. WWE showed a graphic for the Women’s Tag Team Championships that suddenly turned into the Intercontinental Championship for a few seconds.
This week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown was full of high-octane action, as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament continued. AJ Styles would win two matches and booked his ticket for the finals at WWE Night Of Champions.
Botches are commonplace in the world of professional wrestling and WWE is certainly no stranger to that. Regardless, this was definitely an embarrassing botch and fans couldn’t help but get a good laugh out of it.
What’s your take on this botch? Do you think WWE has far too many technical botches? Let us know in the comments!
