Sami Zayn has been working in WWE for a decade now and has consistently turned everything he has done into solid gold. This was especially the case with his storyline featuring The Bloodline. He is set to compete at Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia and now it appears there’s a good reason why that is possible.
As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns made it clear he was disappointed with The Usos and proud of Solo Sikoa. Thus, WWE booked Reigns and Sikoa to challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships at WWE Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
Back in 2018, WWE started their controversial program with Saudi Arabia and so far has produced quite a few Premium Live Events. In the following years, Sami Zayn has been kept off of WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia, due to his Syrian heritage. Even Kevin Owens had requested to be left off any Saudi Arabian events.
Therefore, fans wondered how Sami Zayn will compete in Saudi Arabia now. According to a report by CNN, Saudi Arabia and Syria have resumed work of diplomatic missions in both countries as they aim for long-term prosperity. The two nations have been at odds for well over 10 years after Riyadh cut ties with the Syrian government over the handling of its civil war.
It is good to see that Sami Zayn will be able to compete at WWE Night Of Champions despite his Syrian heritage. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how the match will turn out.
What is your opinion on Sami Zayn finally competing in Saudi Arabia? Are you happy for him? Let us know in the comments!
