WWE has changed around Lacey Evans’ character so often that it’s hard to know what her current gimmick is. She was a patriotic ex-Marine babyface one minute, and then she became a mean, spiteful woman the next. It seems that Vince McMahon’s booking for Lacey Evans didn’t do her any favors, and fans are still waiting to see her pop up again.
Lacey Evans was drafted to the SmackDown brand as part of the 2023 WWE Draft. That being said, she hasn’t made an impression on television in months.
Ringside News reached out to a tenured member of the WWE creative team, who confirmed that WWE doesn’t have any current creative plan in place for Lacey Evans. We were told that it is unknown what’s planned for Lacey.
Lacey Evans will be a part of the blue brand, but getting her character jump-started might not be a priority. After all, they have an entire roster to acclimate to Friday nights. Only time will tell what is next for the Lady of WWE, but she could certainly use another fresh coat of paint whenever she does make a return.
Lacey Evans was a stand-out in NXT, but she never won the brand’s top women’s title. Then Vince McMahon called her up along with a handful of other NXT Stars including Aleister Black, Heavy Machinery, EC3, and Team DIY, because Mr. McMahon wanted another blonde on the main roster. Sadly, Vince didn’t really do much with her after that.
What’s your take on Lacey Evans’ booking in WWE? Will she be a women’s champion someday? Sound off in the comments!
