AEW is set to announce a new television show very soon. AEW Collision will take up two hours of fans’ Saturday nights from 8 pm to 10 pm very soon, and CM Punk will be a part of that show. That being said, Punk wasn’t a dealbreaker in the situation.

The new Saturday show for AEW will see an end of AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation. Those YouTube shows will have to end, because Warner Bros Discovery now has exclusive rights to AEW content. CM Punk is also slated to come back to add even more content to that library.

CM Punk will be a featured performer on the upcoming Collision show. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also dropped a note to let everyone know that CM Punk’s involvement was not a make-or-break situation for that deal going through.

Someone very familiar with the negotiations of the Collision deal has said that the show would have happened with or without Punk, but absolutely WBD wanted Punk

AEW and Warner Bros Discovery are expected to officially announce the new Collision show on May 18th at the company’s upfront presentations. That announcement will be followed by even more information on AEW Dynamite that night.

We will have to see how a new AEW television show does. Fans have lives outside pro wrestling, so asking them to give up every Saturday might be a bold request. That, and the fact that AEW Collision will frequently run at the same time as WWE pay-per-views, could also create some tough decisions within the fan base.

What’s your take on the new AEW Collision show? Do you want to see a new Saturday show? Sound off in the comments!
