Bron Breakker has been on a roll since his debut in NXT 2.0 back in September 2021. He has been the shining star of the brand, racking up wins left and right. He was also not part of the WWE Draft and it appears there was a good reason for that.
Bron Breakker, prior to his eventual promotion to the main roster, has already become a two-time NXT Champion. He has defeated many top stars in the developmental brand and shows no signs of stopping. That said, Breakker also turned heel a while ago and continues to be a dominant force in NXT.
During this year’s edition of the WWE Draft that took place last week, 18 names from NXT were drafted to Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. However, Bron Breakker wasn’t called up at all.
According to a report by WKRD Wrestling on Twitter, there were plans for Bron Breakker to be called up to the main roster. However, due to his current heel gimmick, WWE decided to have him develop his character there and plan on calling him up after SummerSlam.
Regarding Bron Breakker going undrafted; we’ve heard there were tentative plans to draft Bron to the main roster, but officials are so impressed w/ his heel persona, he remained in NXT to better cultivate his character.
There are tentative plans to call him up after SummerSlam.
Bron Breakker is set to square off against Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at NXT Battleground on May 28th. We’ll have to wait and see how their feud will develop till then.
