Ahead of tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, House of Black member and AEW Trios Champion Buddy Matthews took to Twitter to share details on the House Rules for the upcoming Open House match against The Best Friends and Bandido.
The House of Black (Buddy Matthews, Malakai Black, and Brody King) will face off against their challengers under the following rules:
20-Second Count-Outs: To keep the action in the ring, there will be a 20-second count-out enforced. This rule will push wrestlers to stay in the ring and face their opponents head-on.
No Rope Escapes: The House of Black believes that the true measure of a wrestler is their ability to withstand pain. To that end, there will be no easy way out of holds – wrestlers will need to either fight through the pain or submit.
DQ is Enforced: Breaking tradition is not an option for the House of Black, and wrestlers who violate the rules will forfeit their chance to win. This rule is meant to ensure that every wrestler upholds the integrity of the match.
Dealer’s Choice: The final rule is in the hands of the challengers. This rule allows for balance and fairness, ensuring that both sides have an equal say in the ruleset.
Fans can check back here at Ringside News for our live play-by-play coverage of the event at 8:00 pm EST. With these unique rules in place, it will be interesting to see how the wrestlers adapt and which team will come out on top.
