WWE’s showcase of the immortals was full of premium match offerings this year. Among those top tier matches was a SmackDown Women’s Title match that many believe should have capped off the show of shows in SoFi Stadium.

Charlotte Flair took a hiatus from WWE after she lost the SmackDown Women’s Title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39. She remains out of action to this day, and fans are still awaiting The Queen’s return.

During Out of Character, Ryan Satin revealed that he spoke to Charlotte Flair before her WrestleMania 39 match against Rhea Ripley. The Queen revealed at the time that she was very frustrated because she didn’t know whether she would get that precious main event slot.

You know another thing, a recent conversation I had about women’s wrestling, Charlotte Flair, when I spoke to her during WrestleMania weekend before her match. She told me about the frustration she had with it still not being a guarantee that the women are gonna main event one of the nights.

Rhea Ripley’s big win over Charlotte Flair was not the main event of WrestleMania Saturday this year. That honor went to the Undisputed Tag Team Title match instead, which was still a big deal for team wrestling to see a title match headline the show of shows.

We’ll have to see if Charlotte Flair can really close out a WrestleMania event in the future. That didn’t stop her and Rhea Ripley from giving a main event level performance anyway.

What’s your take on Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair not getting the WrestleMania 39 main event slot? Did they deserve it? Sound off in the comments!
