Brock Lesnar’s status for WWE RAW this week was a bit of a mystery, because it was originally reported that he wasn’t going to be there. Then that report changed a short time later when it was learned that Brock Lesnar was slated for RAW. Cody Rhodes probably wishes that Lesnar took the night off.

Brock Lesnar pulled Cody Rhodes out of the ring during the triple threat match on RAW in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Then the Beast Incarnate proceeded to destroy the American Nightmare.

Cody Rhodes was then challenged to a real fight with Brock Lesnar. This brutal display would point toward a possible street fight, but no stipulation was laid down at the time. Cody Rhodes needed to heal a bit first.

Fan footage from Jacksonville shows that Cody Rhodes didn’t make it to the back on his own after that beat down. WWE officials flanked Rhodes on both sides as they assisted him backstage.

Before Cody Rhodes could get all the way to the back, he had to take a bit of a breather. This was a dramatic moment not intended to be seen at home, but Cody Rhodes did it for the fans in Jacksonville who saw it live.

Of course, Cody Rhodes received encouragement from fans as he was helped to the back. One fan also trolled him pretty hard by yelling: “HEY CODY WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT?” followed by “BROCK ISN’T DONE WITH YOU!” We’re sure Cody Rhodes loved hearing that.

You can check out the video footage below. We’ll have to see how Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes II pans out in Saudi Arabia at Night of Champions on May 27th. In the meantime, keep it tuned with us at Ringside News.
