Damian Priest Gets Huge Props Internally For His Recent Work In WWE

Damian Priest is a former NXT North American Champion, and although he hasn’t carried a title on the main roster yet, that hasn’t kept him out of huge matches.

Damian Priest was in likely the biggest match of his entire career. Backlash saw him lose to Bad Bunny in an entertaining battle. That being said, all of Damian Priest’s hard work has not gone unnoticed.

PW Insider reports that Damian Priest received a ton of praise backstage after Backlash. That San Juan streetfight certainly got a lot of attention, and higher-ups are very pleased with what they’re seeing out of him.

There was a ton of praise internally for all the work Damian Priest has done in recent months to level himself up, culminating with the San Juan Street Fight this past weekend.  One source noted to PWInsider.com that he has to be seen as one of the top level players in the company going forward.  Priest is in the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament that kicks off tonight.

Damian Priest was once known as Punishment Martinez in ROH, where he was a dominate force. Now, he is in WWE and making a lot of noise as one of Triple H’s hand-picked favorites.

We will have to see what Damian Priest does next in WWE. He has a ton of potential in the company, so it wouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see him on top of the company for years to come.
