In the world of professional wrestling, it’s not just the in-ring action that keeps fans entertained. Commentators play an important role in keeping the audience engaged and adding their own brand of humor to the event. At the WWE Backlash premium live event, commentator Michael Cole did just that with a comment that left his broadcast partner Corey Graves speechless.

After the much-talked-about ‘San Juan Street Fight’ between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest, Corey Graves challenged Michael Cole to name a Bad Bunny song. The challenge seemed simple enough, but Cole’s response was anything but expected. He replied, “My autobiography! It’s translated to ‘I twerk alone’.”

The look of abject horror on Graves’ face was evident as he sat speechless, while Cole continued to describe a real Bad Bunny song. ‘Yo Perreo Sola’ which roughly translates to ‘I twerk alone’ was a 2020 hit for the Latin Grammy-winning artist. The song and its accompanying music video caught a lot of attention for its powerful message of sexual diversity, women’s rights, and the LGBTQ community.

Bad Bunny, who co-directed the music video, appeared in full drag and made a public service announcement at the end of the video that echoed the song’s lyrics. He said, “If she doesn’t want to dance with you, respect her, she twerks alone.” The message was powerful and resonated with many people who have experienced harassment and unwanted attention while out dancing.

Cole’s comment may have been unexpected, but it highlighted a great message behind Bad Bunny’s song. It’s clear that the WWE Backlash event was not just about the wrestling matches but also about bringing awareness to important social issues.
