WWE has seen quite a few veterans compete in the company throughout various eras of pro wrestling, especially during The Attitude Era. This includes Mosh and Thrasher of The Headbangers, who were a staple during the 90s. Now it appears they signed a Nostalgia agreement contract with WWE.
Chaz Warrington (Mosh) and Glenn Ruth (Thrasher) took to their respective Twitter accounts and officially announced today that they have signed a “Nostalgia Agreement” with WWE.
I can finally post this!! I’m completely excited and fortunate to have this opportunity! The Headbangers have signed a WWE Nostalgia agreement!! Look for your Headbangers merch coming soon!!! WOW blessed!! Thank you
@WWE!!!
Watch out! It’s been signed!
For those who do not know, The Headbangers’ original run lasted from 1997 until 2000. Afterwards, they would make a few appearances on Friday Night Smackdown back in 2016 after the WWE Draft.
After their original run ended, the two split up for 10 years before getting back together on the independent scene, where they continue to compete as a tag team to this very day.
In case you did not know, the Nostalgia contract allows the company to create and sell merchandise for legacy acts. The likes of WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle have greatly benefited from this. Now it remains to be seen what kind of merchandise The Headbangers will sell.
