Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has been making headlines recently, not for her wrestling abilities but for a surprising public appearance announcement.
Flair, who has been on hiatus from WWE since dropping her SmackDown Women’s Title to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 in April, has been announced to compete in the American Cornhole League Superhole Series IV.
Ticketmaster shared the following on the event:
The American Cornhole League comes to Miami for the second SuperHole IV event of the season!
Watch Jersey Shore’s Vinny Guadagnino, WWE’s Charlotte Flair, Real Housewives’ Marysol Patton, and Keeping up with the Kardashian’s Food God as they compete alongside ACL Pros in a live ACL Cornhole ESPN broadcast.
While the announcement might come as a surprise to many, Flair is not new to participating in sports outside the WWE ring. In 2019, she competed in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show, and she has also made appearances in TV shows such as “Psych” and “Whose Line is it Anyway?”.
Flair’s participation in the American Cornhole League Superhole Series IV will take place on May 5 at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater in Miramar, Florida. She will compete in the preliminaries alongside the likes of Real Housewives’ Marysol Patton and Jersey Shore’s Vinny Guadagnino.
For those who are not familiar with the sport, Cornhole is a game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. The game is typically played at tailgates, parties, and backyard barbecues.
The event will be broadcast live on ESPN, with the preliminary rounds airing on May 5, and the finals taking place in August. Flair hopes to make it to the finals and become the Queen of Cornhole.
Despite Charlotte’s WWE hiatus, she was officially selected by SmackDown in the 2023 WWE Draft, leaving fans wondering when she will return to the squared circle.
