Bianca Belair referred to herself as the SmackDown Women’s Champion, only to have Michael Cole immediately backtrack on that. This happened during the EST of WWE’s video package after she was drafted to the blue brand. Of course, then Rhea Ripley was drafted to WWE RAW, so a title switch is very plausible.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed some of the things going on right now in WWE. It is apparent that chaos is happening in creative.
“So it’s very clear that like again, people are being told different things that change all the time. It’s not like complete chaos, but there’s a lot of chaos.”
A lot of things are going on right now in WWE, with the Endeavor merging WWE and UFC together, a deal that has yet to see a new official company name revealed. Triple H is also doing a lot with creative, and Vince McMahon is still around to oversee the whole operation.
The 2023 WWE Draft is over, and now we will get to see what these new rosters do next week. The new draft picks and NXT call-ups will go into effect on May 8th, the WWE RAW after Backlash.
