Goldberg was last seen on WWE television when he lost to Roman Reigns during the 2022 Elimination Chamber premium live event. He eventually became a free agent after his WWE contract expired. Now it appears he recently had a WCW reunion of sorts while fans continue to speculate about an impending AEW debut.
Ringside News exclusively reported that Goldberg is not happy about the status of his retirement match. It was also reported that Goldberg’s retirement match is not a concern for WWE.
Of course, Goldberg made a name for himself in WCW, where he became the biggest star in the company and spearheaded WCW’s dominance over WWE for a long time. His feuds against the likes of Hulk Hogan and more certainly helped in that regard.
Goldberg was spotted in a recent photo uploaded by Booker T, which featured WCW stars such as Paul Wight, Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page. Unsurprisingly, many fans had a blast of nostalgia after looking at the photo.
WCW 4 LIFE
Goldberg’s retirement match also got big interest from Israel. Tony Khan is also paying close attention to Goldberg’s free agent status. We’ll have to wait and see whether Tony Khan will end up signing Goldberg in time for AEW All In in August.
