Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn Reveal They Were Unaware of Impending WWE Draft

Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are the newest addition to the WWE SmackDown roster, following their drafting on the first night of the WWE Draft. The NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions will now be taking their talents to the blue brand, and they recently shared their excitement for the opportunity during an appearance on Busted Open Radio.

Fyre and Dawn teamed up in February and quickly made their mark by capturing the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles at NXT Stand & Deliver. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the pair expressed their shock and elation at being drafted to SmackDown.

“We had no idea. No idea we were going to be drafted. It means so much. We both worked really hard for this and for a long time. Getting things like this, you know you’re being appreciated,” Fyre said.

“The timing with teaming a month ago, that was our second TV match, we’ve only been together a short time”, Dawn added.

Before their big move to SmackDown, Fyre and Dawn will defend their NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles against Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on Tuesday’s episode of NXT.

The NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles were first introduced earlier this year and have been held by a number of talented teams, including Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox, and the inaugural champions, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. Now, Fyre and Dawn will look to make their mark on the blue brand and continue to showcase their skills as a tag team.
