Impact Wrestling held a round of television tapings in Chicago, and they had a few interesting visitors backstage. It turns out that one of the unexpected people backstage is currently under WWE contract.
WWE Superstars are allowed to attend other pro wrestling events, but they just can’t be seen on television. That would be a big issue for another company to show a competitors’ contracted performer on screen.
PW Insider noted that Tamina Snuka was backstage at the Impact Wrestling television taping event. She was backstage to see Trinity Fatu step into an Impact Wrestling ring for the first time.
WWE’s Tamina Snuka was backstage with Mone, there to support Trinity Fatu for her first official post-WWE match.
Tamina Snuka wasn’t the only notable face backstage at Impact Wrestling this week. Mercedes Mone was also there to support Trinity Fatu. She was also spotted in the crowd during the event so she could watch her friend debut.
CM Punk was also backstage at the television taping event. The Second City Savior got to hang out with talent, and he wasn’t kicked out. Some of those wrestlers also got to tell CM Punk how much he inspires them.
We’ll have to see what Impact Wrestling pulls out next to draw attention. They certainly seemed to have an exciting television taping event in Chicago over the weekend.
