WWE fans may have to wait a bit longer before seeing Robert Roode and R-Truth in the ring again as both stars are currently dealing with injuries that have kept them sidelined.
According to a recent report by Fightful Select, WWE expects Roode to be out of action for the remainder of 2023. The former NXT Champion underwent neck fusion surgery in late-2022 and last wrestled at a WWE house show in June 2022.
Roode is one of the more experienced stars on the WWE roster and is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He joined WWE in 2016 and has since won tag team gold on multiple occasions with Chad Gable and Dolph Ziggler.
Meanwhile, R-Truth is expected to miss most of 2023 after suffering a torn quadricep on the November 1, 2022 edition of NXT. Despite recently replying to a fan that he’d be making a WWE return ‘soon’, Fightful reports otherwise.
R-Truth has been with WWE since 2008. He’s a former WWE United States Champion and has had memorable moments during his run in the company, including winning the WWE 24/7 Championship on numerous occasions.
The report also shared an update on Bray Wyatt ahead of his eventual return to the ring. As previously reported, Wyatt is expected to make his return to the wrestling world soon, but the report suggests that it may not be with WWE.
