The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown was packed with excitement that had fans at the edge of their seats. Although the focus was on the WWE Draft, there were several backstage happenings that may have slipped under your radar.

There were two tag teams that competed on the show that don’t have official team names. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, as well as Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, are both still searching for the perfect moniker to represent them in the ring.

Interestingly, while some teams have official names that are used on television, not all of them are referred to as such behind the scenes. For example, Sheamus & Butch, Rey & Santos, and Damian Priest & Finn Balor were not called by their team names during the event. However, Imperium and the Viking Raiders were.

Former wrestler Jason Jordan ended up being quite busy during the Smackdown event. Not only did he produce the match between Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight, but he also produced the Sheamus & Butch vs. Imperium dark match. And if that wasn’t enough, Jason also ended up producing the main event of the evening, which featured Braun Strowman heaving Ricochet.

It’s also worth noting that B-Fab has only had a few opportunities to compete on the main roster. Her only singles matches have been against Natalya, and none of these matches have been televised. However, she has had the chance to compete in the Royal Rumble as well as in a tag team match at Madison Square Garden.

The Smackdown event in Columbus ended up being the highest-grossing RAW/Smackdown event in the city’s history. This is a testament to the appeal of the WWE brand specifically.

What do you think the new tag team names for Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, as well as Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville, should be? Leave a comment.
