WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T has accomplished a lot in his pro wrestling career. He especially made a name for himself in WCW, but it appears Booker T believes he never would have been a World Champion If he joined the nWo.

The nWo, comprised of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, was founded during the 1996 Bash At The Beach event, where Hulk Hogan was revealed to be the mystery third member. It ended up changing pro wrestling for good and the effects are being felt even now.

While speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about never being part of the nWo. Booker T stated that he would have been viewed as nothing more than “a bump guy” for the nWo.

The 5-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion would go on to state that he believes he never would have been a World Champion If he joined the nWo.

“I don’t think I would have ever been a world champion [had I joined the NWO],” Booker stressed. “I wouldn’t have achieved that status if I was part of that group. I thought being a solo act was my route to get to the next level, going out and performing at the highest level and being more focused than anything. ”

Booker T said all this in response to what Kevin Nash recently stated about offering Booker T a spot to join the original nWo. Regardless, Booker T has no regrets and that’s all that matters to him now.

What’s your take on what Booker T said? Are you glad he didn’t join the nWo? Sound off in the comments!
