AEW is about to introduce a new Saturday show, Collision, but the company is not going to let go of Rampage. The show aired at a special start time this week, but how did that turn out for them?
According to Alfred Konuwa, the April 28th episode of AEW Rampage brought in 394,000 viewers. They were on at 6:30 PM on a Friday afternoon.
AEW Rampage’s April 22nd episode drew a fast national number of 336,000 viewers for their special Saturday show. Out of that number, 125k was part of the precious 18 to 49 age demographic that advertisers want to see. This is not a good sign, especially considering the fact that Tony Khan is about to announce a weekly Saturday show.
AEW Rampage drew 639,000 viewers on average, including a 0.21 P18-49 rating. They started about 20 minutes early this week due to the NBA games. This was Rampage’s highest total viewership since September 24th, 2021, and its highest key viewership since April 8th, 2022.
The April 7th episode of AEW Rampage pulled a fast national number of 484,000 viewers, with 210k of those viewers in the 18 to 49 demographic with their live episode. Battle of the Belts directly followed the show.
March 31st’s episode of AEW Rampage brought in 308,000 viewers with the fast national viewership. This number was actually down from the previous week’s special Saturday show.
The special Saturday edition of AEW Rampage on March 25th drew a fast national viewership of 355,000. That was down from the previous week.
The March 17th episode of AEW Rampage brought a fast national audience of 406K, which is down from last week. 195k of those viewers were in the 18 to 49 demographic.
The March 10th episode of AEW Rampage brought in an overnight average of 419k viewers. The March 3rd episode of AEW Rampage brought in a viewership of 394,000, with a .10 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
We’ll have to see if AEW’s B Show can pull things up. They are certainly putting in enough work to build good cards, but they are also dealing with a difficult time slot.
What can AEW do to improve Rampage’s ratings? Do they need to give up Rampage after the new Saturday show starts? Sound off in the comments!
